Rachel Fichman

After graduating from UC Davis in 2013, I worked for various government agencies monitoring state and federally-listed endangered and threatened species including Giant Garter Snakes, Delta Smelt, Chinook Salmon, and Salt Marsh Harvest Mice. In my current position as a Staff Research Associate I lead field surveys, manage databases, train and coordinate undergraduate interns, and process Chinook Salmon and Delta Smelt otoliths. I contribute to research projects focusing on native fish life history diversity throughout the San Francisco Estuary.
